Oxfordshire MG Owners Club - Events 2013

Apart from the events listed below, there are two other Club Fun Runs on dates to be advised - a Sunday Lunch Run to North Oxfordshire and a Sunday Fun Run in the Southern area of Oxfordshire and Berkshire. Where possible (and weather permitting), we shall try to arrange a Club Fun Run on the last Sunday of each month. Details of which will be announced at the beginning of the month on Club night (and also publicised below and on our Facebook page once the details are known). 

June 2013

Sunday 2 June - MGs in the Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Burford

Wednesday 5 June - Club Night at the Lamb & Flag

Wednesday 12 June - Club members only visit to the Defence Academy, Shrivenham. An all-day visit to the Defence Academy to visit their armouries and collection of armoured fighting vehicles. The visit starts at 1030am until 1230pm, followed by lunch in the Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess (£3 charge for lunch to include main, dessert and tea/coffee).  The tour continues from 2.30pm until about 4.00pm. If you wish to attend, please contact Tony Nash - events_secretary@oxfordshiremgoc.co.uk. You must bring some form of photographic ID with you on the day, ie passport or driving licence.

Sunday 7 July - MGB Register - Abingdon Works & Abingdon Rotary Car Show, Abingdon

Saturday 13 - Sunday 14 July - The MG Owners' Club's 40th Birthday Celebration - a huge MG gathering will take place in Swavesey, opposite Club HQ, to celebrate the 40th Birthday of the MGOC. MG displays will be held in the arena and big top marquee, along with gymkhana and driving test events. The showground has ample parking and room for camping on Saturday night, so why not bring your tent and stay for the weekend? There will be live music, vehicle displays, tours of HQ, ample parking, a road run and other fun activities. The MGOC Spares, Shop and Workshop will be open all weekend too.

Friday 2 - Sunday 4 August - Steam Extravaganza at South Cerney Airfield, Cirencester

Sunday 4 August - Lymington Classic Car Show, Woodside Park, Lymington, Hampshire. As part of the Rotary Club of Lymington's Summer Spectacular, there will be a classic car show. Entries will be accepted for any car registered before 1 January 1988 (ie 25 years old or more). Interesting or quality cars made after 1988 may be accepted by the organisers at their discretion. There is a small entry fee of £5 to cover expenses and for Rotary charities and local youth organisations. Wednesday 7 August - Club Night at the Lamb & Flag

Sunday 11 August - West Berkshire Classic Vehicle Club 21st Classic Vehicle Show at Newbury Racecourse; a classic car show, auto jumble and side stalls in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
